11 Nov MILLENNIUM MILLS MEET UP WITH CANON
Saturday was FUN! and different kind of experience for me.
I heard about this meet up via one of the sweetest Instagrammers you’ll ever meet – Holly Cato – she was teaming up with Canon UK to host a special experience at the soon to be renovated Millennium Mills building in West Silvertown.
A different kinda setting than I’m usually used to photographing but that’s what kinda appealed to me. Run down urban location, with the opportunity to photograph smoke bombs! I’ve been wanting to do that for ages… and the chance to try out some Canon cameras.
It was super cool.
I borrowed the Canon 70D so I could try out the auto focus on video mode… that makes life a whole lot easier!. The film above was shot mostly on it, with a few segments on the 5DmIII and iPhone.
As much as I love my camera, I can see having the 70D would be really useful for certain filming situations – so I’ll be adding it to my wish list.
Met some really talented instagrammers – all trying out different Canon cameras, experimenting and creating some amazing photos – check out the hashtag – #canonmillsmeet – such a variety of seriously good photos.
Thanks to Holly and Canon UK for a wonderful time (even in the pouring rain!)… I look forward to the next meet up… Check out Canon UK’s feed for more details.
