When I begin to create a stop motion, I take a photo with my hand in, as a marker… kinda like the clapper board is used to mark the beginning of a scene in a film. It lets me know which is the first photo in the sequence when I’m editing the photos…

Recently, I was looking through a few of my stop motion creations, as I’m getting materials together for my new course MAKE FILMS and I thought all the hand photos looked kinda cool together…

Super colourful and as you can see… I love a good manicure!

If you’d like to learn how I create stop motions and all the other films I share here and on my instagram – check out my online course MAKE FILMS starting in January!

Here are a few before photos… and the finished stop motion.

Enjoy… Happy Friday!

you are so clever, these are so fun to watch. I’m taking your class. I will need to get manicures regularly.

Such fun to watch. My favorite was the sunglasses toddling off screen. Thanks for sharing.
