THE GOOD LIFE EXPERIENCE

THE GOOD LIFE EXPERIENCE

I sort of knew the Good Life Experience would be our kinda festival. Celebrating the outdoors with music, activities, camping and lots of fun, is right up our street.

Packed with loads of things to do and see – the boys were gutted it was only on for one day.

Some of the highlights for us were…

Bountiful fairground rides – as many times as you like… well, our boys were in heaven, having multiple turns of the swings and helter skelter, till they eventually got kicked off, to let someone else have a turn… But an hour later they were back.

There was archery and axe throwing… the boys loved this!

A wide variety of workshops and food demonstrations – like spoon making, bread making and the cooking, had me eager to get in the kitchen and rustle up something new.

The music was amazing – a wonderful mix of delights, from sweet campfire singsongs with Cerys Matthews to the energetic CC Smugglers, who’s passion shined through, with a beat certain to get you moving.

I loved the chance to hang out with friends and make some new ones – especially camping alongside a few instagram and blogging friends and their gorgeous families – all the children played so well with each other.

The whole experience was like being at a big party, it was so friendly. Well done to everyone involved in creating such a spectacular event…Thanks for having us.

Can’t wait till next year!

A few more of glimpses of what we saw and got up too…

This looks like my type of festival. We popped our festival cherry this year and I’m so eager to discover new and wonderful festivals to take our little man along to.

Oh Xanthe, these are wonderful! They make me want to go straight back and do it all again. We had such a fantastic time with you guys, and your pictures of the boys are just gorgeous. Ky and Cosmo were such superstars with the smaller kids. The count-down to next year has definitely begun! Love from us all xx

Your pictures are lovely Xanthe. I have been admiring your work for a while. (Discovered you via Mollie Makes). If only i had know you were in the same camping field as us i would have come over and said hello. I had noticed someone looking very glamourous on the Sunday morning, turns out it was you! We were the ones with the huge tent and our 4 children rampaging through the field and woods. 🙂 Lottie Blue http://www.thelottieblue.blogspot.co.uk x
