PARIS ON FILM

PARIS ON FILM

In Paris earlier this year, Andrea had offered to help me cross #9 off my list, and with the help of Irene lending me her Polaroid Land camera to play with (thank you!)… I was all set.

I walked past this building on my morning walk, while Andrea practiced her talk for the TEDx event – one lone red awning looking rather splendid.

So after a little tutorial and how to from Andrea…

This would be my first shot with the Polaroid land camera… what a beaut she is!

I then spent the rest of the time shooting these special wonders… Out of 10 shots…some didn’t work, but that’s the way it goes I guess and I was happy with these…

Continuing on the film vibe… I’d just had my Lomo LCA cleaned and serviced after sitting in my attic for nearly 13 years, so that came out to play as well… and the colours are magic!

{Isn’t that dude’s face priceless?}

Thank you ladies for making this possible and crossing #9 off my list, especially now it looks like this film is being discontinued.

Andrea has some wonderful Paris photos too :: and rather brilliantly she’s posting every day in Nov.

    xanthe! I LOVE THIS. but then, you had to know I would, didn’t you? just love that I was there to witness you and that peel apart magic and that I actually helped to cross something off your list (you know how I feel about those sorts of lists). oh, makes me so happy! you are such a natural, lady. that one red awning! ack! and I am also swooning over all your lomo shots, i am absolutely swooning.

    p.s. I can practically smell the strawberries in that one photograph, you know the one.
