WEEK IN THE LIFE – MINI DAILY FILMS – MARCH 2020

WEEK IN THE LIFE – MINI DAILY FILMS – MARCH 2020

My first week of creating Day In The Life mini films in 2020. Filling them with memories and noticing the details of daily life…

Last year, March 2019 was a wonderful mix of home life and going to New Orleans. The year before March 2018, is so interesting to watch to see how the boys have grown and life has changed.

Back to this latest week of films in early March 2020. I was prepping for the latest session of Handmade Film Making online course and wanted to try a new idea for me. Projects like this can feel stale if you keep doing the same thing, (especially when my days can feel so similar!). So I mixed it up by introducing a new element for me, inspired by what I’m enjoying over on TikTok.

I created my version of the “Voiceover Vlog” where I narrate extra thoughts about my day over footage. I surprised myself with how much I enjoyed making them. The project felt fresh and new again, plus shooting and editing on just the phone, makes it quick and easy to do.

I’ve now got this new approach of the “Voiceover Vlog” to share with everyone in the upcoming Handmade Film Making online course. I just know some people are going to love narrating their day.

Do check out the hashtag for a peek at what’s been created over the past year or so – #handmadefilmmaking

If you feel inspired to document your daily life, using just your mobile phone… and maybe trying a  “Voiceover Vlog” – come and join the next session of the course next week.

The Handmade Film Making course starts March 19th. All the details are HERE.

All films are shot on iPhone 11ProMax. Edited in Enlight Videoleap, with the music from Epidemic Sound and filters from Filmm App.
