08 Oct I LOVE PHOTOWALKS – WEST ELM PHOTO WALK SEPTEMBER 2015
Last month I hosted a photo walk with West Elm here in London. The plan was to meet at their store on Tottenham Court Road and explore the surrounding area, taking photos as we walked.
Before I share the fun we had, let me tell you that…
I hope you’ll be able to join us – If you got any questions, please contact me or leave a comment below.
Back to the beautiful bright and crisp morning… when a lovely group of ladies joined me to mooch the London streets and discover some delights through our lens.
Here’s what we got up to…
We grabbed a caffeine boost at West Elm and waited for everyone to arrive. A colourful bunch of photographers assembled – some with DSLR cameras and some equipped with their iPhones… it really doesn’t matter what you shoot with – it’s about opening your eyes to your surroundings, noticing the little details that might pass you by if you were walking in a hurry… and taking a moment to stop, to take a photo.
We wandered around the back streets of Tottenham Court Road taking photos of doors, shop fronts, anything colourful… and maybe a bike or two…
Then a few portraits… thank you to those brave ones who stepped in front of the camera…
We had some fun “striding by” and swooning over Giulia’s gold shoes!
Then with tried feet and camera rolls full, we retired to the comfiest sofas in the West Elm market place… to chat photo editing styles, family life, the wonderful world of Instagram and blogging… and share our favourite photos of the morning.
It was such a good time.
Thank you to everyone who attended and shared some wonderful photos – check out the hashtag #westelmphotowalk to see more.
Hope to see you on the next photo walk!
