I make films and I make them regularly.

I love the process… and the finished result.

I’m driven to tell stories of my everyday, the ordinary things that I do, so I can look back on them in years to come. Basically, I have to make films and document what happens. It’s my passion.

I know I don’t always get it technically right… I certainly don’t profess to know everything there is about shooting video and making films. But I do know how to create a film that makes me FEEL something, that tells my story in a visually interesting way, and makes me see the beauty in my life. And for me that’s enough…

I’m so passionate about making these little films… I’m driven to make them regularly. To the point that I actually forget about some of the films I’ve made… till I scroll through Vimeo and the memories wash over me.

Like this one…

Oh how the boys used to love card tricks! Thank goodness for these memories.

For the past five years, there’s been least one film a month, and even more in the last few years since I’ve been making my Mini Monday Movies

Previous years for me have looked like this – 2013,  201420152016, with 2017 still to be completed.

I’m sharing all of this, because I think creating one film a month is an achievable goal… and tomorrow I’m going to launch a year long course to help others make their own films each month… More details about the course when I come back tomorrow… I can’t wait to share it with you.
