FAQ – HOW IS YOUR NEW COURSE DIFFERENT TO YOUR PREVIOUS ONES?

FAQ – HOW IS YOUR NEW COURSE DIFFERENT TO YOUR PREVIOUS ONES?

I’m interested in knowing more about your new course and how it differs to your previous one.

Great question! Thanks for your interest in my new course. I know it’s probably a bit confusing, so let me break it down.

This MAKE VIDEOS – 30 DAYS OF CREATIVE FUN is an updated version of my original online courses. I’ve combined all my favourite projects from previous courses into one new creative challenge.

It will cover some of the shooting and inspiration elements found in the previous MAKE VIDEOS, Handmade Film Making and my stop motion courses. Any relevant materials will be shared again and lots of the content has been updated and developed specifically for this course, with a focus on creating simple video content, to boost your creativity and share online through Instagram and TikTok.

I’ll be encouraging shooting on either a camera or phone, using whatever equipment you have available and the inspiration from my videos will have been shot on both. The editing demos are brand new because I’ll be using CapCut desktop version for (Mac and PC) and the mobile app for iOS and Android – which is available for free. I’ll also be sharing VLLO demos for iOS and Android.

I’ve chosen the five projects from previous courses because they all give an opportunity to experiment with different shooting and editing techniques. We’ll move through each project in order, changing every 6 days throughout the 30 days, and building on the skills learnt from each one.

The project ideas are –

DAY IN THE LIFE – A chance to document your everyday life into daily videos. Shoot one day or a few in row, as you can learn so much from the daily practice.

STOP MOTION – Play with creating a stop motion or even a few. Once you start, you’ll want to keep experimenting with this playful medium.

SHOW MY WORLD – Capture the world around you through video portraits of people or places and use music & audio to add another layer to the story.

HOW-TO – Demonstrate an activity and find different ways to shoot and edit it. You can keep it simple with a one shot capture or level up with multiple shots and shooting techniques, plus add text and a voiceover.

CELEBRATE NOW – Make small video vignettes of beautiful moments, memories or anything that celebrates the things you love to do.

And you can make as many videos as you like for each project. I’ll be sharing suggestion schedules of how you can break down your time over the 30 days. From keeping it simple with one video for each project or going for it, with 5 videos for each project.

If you’ve already taken courses with me, you will already know a lot of the shooting and editing information and you will have created these projects before. So only join, if you’d like to build on the skills you’ve already learnt or you’re looking for motivation to continue making videos. Or get back into the flow if you’ve had a break from creating. If you took either the MAKE VIDEOS or Handmade Film Making in previous years, then this updated version would be a great refresher with familiar projects, to get you shooting and editing again.

If you feel you’re already proficient at creating videos and don’t need access to the shooting and editing guidance, but you’d still like to join the creative 30 day challenge. There’s a JUST CREATE option, with access to the five project ideas, inspiration and encouragement to create.

{There’s a special alumni discount code for past participants of all my courses, so contact me via DM or email.}

I’ve tired to offer a variety of options to take part in MAKE VIDEOS – 30 DAYS OF CREATIVE FUN because I know how much there is to gain from having a creative challenge to follow along with.

Hope this answers your question, but let me know if you have any more!
