Been day dreaming about this trip since March 2020, when it was initially cancelled. We finally got to stroll the pretty streets of Lisbon and Cascais. The long wait made the change of scenery, even more sweet.

Here’s what we got up to –

Checked into the beautiful The Lumiares, as a birthday treat for us both.

Had a delicious vegan lunch at faunafloralisboa.

A walk by the sea and sunset mocktails at the hotel roof bar.

The next day was all about wandering the streets, riding the tram and buying a hats from A Fabrica Dos Chapeus.

We enjoyed delicious vegan ice cream from Uao Gelato and finally, an amazing dinner at
Agua Pela Barba restaurante.

Time to say Adeus Lisbon & Olá Cascais – Celebrating Luke’s birthday with a Pastel de Nata. Taking the train from Lisbon, along the coast to Cascais. We checked into the Pestansa Cidadela.


Lunch at Hifen – so good, we booked again for the next day!

Swimming in the hotel pool and oysters at Marisco na praca.

Despite the weather, we pottered around Cascais, had a foot message because my calves were so sore from all the hills in Lisbon! Ate more calms and had dinner at Hifen again because we loved it so much and wanted to try more dishes from the menu.

What a wonderful break, a chance to get away and explore somewhere new after all this time at home. So grateful.
