When the first camp of the season is planned… I’m a little reluctant as it’s often quite chilly at night. I’m still scared from a very cold May Bank Holiday camp a few years ago, where we were all woken in the night so cold, with no way of warming up!

We’re better prepared now… Blankets a plenty, thermals, hot water bottles and huddling together.

All the boys are so eager to get the tent out for its first adventure, I get swept up in their excitement and pack my woolly hat and scarves.

As it happens the weather was glorious! Blessed with beautiful sunny days allowing pockets of lazing around… Campfire cooking & a successful mission of making bows and arrows.

Good times… can’t wait for the next camping adventure.
