COLOURFUL PLACES TO PHOTOGRAPH IN LONDON – PART ONE

COLOURFUL PLACES TO PHOTOGRAPH IN LONDON – PART ONE

One of the questions I get asked A LOT is…

Where are my favourite colourful places to photograph in London?… so I’ve been meaning for ages to start a blog post series, sharing colourful spots in my hometown.

***

Before I get on with sharing the first post…

A little reminder about a photo walk I’m hosting this Saturday 28th Nov in Shoreditch. Come and wander with me and a lovely group of photographers (all levels welcome) all looking for colour.

I’ll be on hand to share photo & Instagram tips and tricks, help you with your camera and show you my favourite colourful spots. There is a £10 fee to register – all the details are over HERE.

Let’s kick off this series with a few walls or interesting buildings… because they’re so fun to stand in front of and it’s one of my favourite shots to create on Instagram.

The photos above are two of my favourite walls in the whole of London. The top multicoloured wall is on Chance St in Shoreditch and the other beautiful swirls of yellow & black by Kef can found on Ada Street, near Broadway Market and London Fields.

Hey, while you’re on Chance St… you’ll be able to see other street art like this and these mirrors embedded into the walls…

These fabulous orange tiles can be found in Charing Cross Station – there will be a few more colourful tube stations later on in this series.

Head to the old Street area for the Camille Walala building, which can be found on the corner of Gt Eastern St/Singer St. Also check out the row of hearts opposite the Holiday Inn Hotel.

Hello yellow… this gorgeous shop front is in Covent Garden on Shelton Street, WC2.

and finally, I adore the lovely mint green exterior of the Charlotte St Hotel… on Charlotte St, W1 naturally…

Hope you enjoyed this burst of colour!

I’ll be back with more colourful places to seek out in London soon.

(Please note that London is changing all the time, so some of these recommendations may change over time)

You really do make me miss living in London and I no longer have the power in my legs to walk around all day. Still I can live vicariously via your site and Instagram! Thank you!
