Last month for 10 on 10, I shot portraits of one boy… this month it’s the turn of the other… one boy on one day.

This boy on the brink of change into teenage hood… but still very much our boy… for now.

    I relate to these a lot because of Zoey. Green eyes. Tenderness. Framed in nature. Soft and and just a tad bit silly. A beautiful set, Xanthe. xo

    i am so taken with these portraits. they reach in and grab my heart. the stillness of him, juxtaposed with that beautiful, joyful movement. i feel that borderline, and can imagine it. i’m there with my girl, and it is as wondrous as it is scary and poignant and confusing. quite touching, so close…and i am in complete love with the emotion, the sense of perfect timing for offbeats, the color and wisdom of your work. you are a woman who notices. i feel that in every bit of your glorious work. xoxo

    Such a beautiful tribute to your eldest! I can completely relate to the “one foot in boyhood and the other in teenagehood”. It’s an exciting time…

    Question: Has spring arrived early in London? I’m jealous that you guys are already wearing shorts and sandals!

    Third from the bottom . . . such a lovely image of your son (the framing is perfect). The light in his curls is perfect, too. I’m glad that each of of your boys got their own special day for this project.
