i wish i could say these doubts and fears fade as one gets older! i think it’s a part of the human condition, but a part we don’t speak much about, so we don’t realize that everyone else feels the same way we do. so thank you for sharing, really. i am so glad i got to meet you and i will be watching your creative journey with so much interest and support.

i love details, that’s definitely what i usually notice.
and i can’t believe that you ever feel doubts about your work, b/c it is so amazing that it inspires me every single day. you are so good at capturing the essence of your subject and i love that about your photos. but i guess it’s just human nature to feel a little self doubt every once in awhile, i know i sure do. so thanks for sharing these beautiful images and encouraging words, i can’t wait to see the rest!

Xanthe – I know I should not be surprised by anything real after the time at Camp, but here I am again, bowled over at the idea that you too have doubts and fears about your creative path. I know that sounds stupid when I actually type it here. I find your work so inspired and inspiring and your presence just so lovely. I am happy to have encountered you at Asilomar and I am here, far away, rooting for you to continue on your courageous path into your art.
