Sarah & Mike are super fun, we spent the afternoon hanging out in Richmond Park… a place that holds a special place in their hearts.

One of my favourite parts of the wedding day is the bridal preparations. There is excitement and nervous in the air, but also a calmness that is so beautiful, all the stresses from the build up of the day float away. Nothing more can done, and my brides relax surrounded by their closest female loved ones, with laughter and silliness sprinkled everywhere.

It’s wonderful.

{I love photographing hands and feet anyway, as they tell the story I so often see. Hands holding, feet grounded, hands touching… you get the picture.}

A bride’s hands tell so much… the nerves… the ring finger waiting for it’s main appearance in the ceremony… the fidgeting as they are pampered and fussed over while getting ready… I notice the hands and they tell that story of the moment.

On a rare sunny afternoon recently, this lovely couple overcame their nerves being in front of the camera and took time to connect with each other, have fun… and get excited about their wedding later this month.

I can’t wait… by the sounds of the wedding, it’s going to be adorable.

Today Annie & Navid’s wedding is featured on Rock My Wedding. I’m blown away to be on there and I know that Annie is thrilled, as she poured her heart and soul into her magical day. Charlotte from RMW had seen my instagram shot of Annie in her Vera Wang dress and contacted me to say she’d love to feature it… so my love of instagram has grown even more!

A lot of the details and main parts of the wedding are featured over at Rock My Wedding. So I thought I would share my favourite images of the day, rather than blog the whole story of the wedding. Here are the memories I loved capturing. The in-between moments. The details that catch my eye. It was such an honor to be part of such an amazing day – getting married 4 times in one day, certainly celebrates love…

Thank you Annie & Nav. I wish you all the best for future xxx

Having spent quite a bit of time with Lise & Patrick before, I knew their wedding would be full of love & deep connection…

With plenty of fun & laughter… {it’s a French tradition to throw the groom and bride in the air!}

Surrounded by family & friends from all over the world… It was magical!

{I’ve never seen a couple be SO covered in rice & confetti!)

Chenelle and Luke are getting married next week. So a couple of weekends ago, we spent the afternoon together, having tea, hanging out in their flat & chatting about their wedding plans. These two adore each other so much, their love was bursting and their excitement to be married and have an amazing wedding was contagious… I couldn’t stop smiling. How wonderful to be young and in love.

They’ve lived in their flat for a couple of years now, and Chenelle had mentioned how much she loved my time capsules and wanted a few memories of their flat to look back on years to come. So we started their story there… Here are a few of my favourites…

We waited to see if the rain would pass, but it didn’t. It had been raining for a week and wasn’t going to stop now, so we bundled up into the car to the park and luckily found some shelter. Even in the pouring rain their spirits couldn’t be dampened. With all this energy and love between them, I can’t wait for their wedding now…

This is the post I never finished before leaving for New York. This was meant to be a slide show of my favourite photos I’ve taken this year, but you know what, I made the slide show and I actually prefer the images to stand alone. I know I will be concentrating on moving images and putting photos together to tell a story more and more in this coming year, but 2011 was mostly about photos by themselves, so that’s what I will share here and I’ve updated my welcome video instead.

It’s been hard to select just a few from 2011… these photos mean so much to me as they tell the story I see and then like to tell…. the details, the memories, the connections, all with the colours and light that make me gasp as I press the shutter. Capturing these moments has be wonderful, thank you to all those that let me do what I love, I can’t wait to see what 2012 brings…
