One adorable couple, two gorgeous dresses, three ceremonies & here are four frames… more to come.
LOOK BACK AT 2011
This is the post I never finished before leaving for New York. This was meant to be a slide show of my favourite photos I’ve taken this year, but you know what, I made the slide show and I actually prefer the images to stand alone. I know I will be concentrating on moving images and putting photos together to tell a story more and more in this coming year, but 2011 was mostly about photos by themselves, so that’s what I will share here and I’ve updated my welcome video instead.
It’s been hard to select just a few from 2011… these photos mean so much to me as they tell the story I see and then like to tell…. the details, the memories, the connections, all with the colours and light that make me gasp as I press the shutter. Capturing these moments has be wonderful, thank you to all those that let me do what I love, I can’t wait to see what 2012 brings…
A LITTLE SPARKLE
ANNIE & NAV – LOVE SESSION
Nav proposed to Annie earlier this year on cold winter’s day on Primrose Hill. So we re-visited this special location during the wonderful Autumn heatwave we had recently. They are such a darling couple who clearly adore each other and even though they were worried about being in front of the camera, they soon relaxed, had some fun and were so sweet together.
A & N – peek
A preview of this gorgeous couple as we hung out in the setting sun during the glorious Autumn heatwave.
It was so much fun!
L & J – wedding
Even the pouring rain that day didn’t dampen the spirits of L & J who were to be married at the beautiful Tewin Bury Farm. Instead it was filled with plenty of smiles, love, laughter & happiness.
I first met up with the very smiley bride-to-be and her girlfriends, who were getting ready on site, happily drinking gin & tonics, doing their own make-up and watching the guests arrive through the window of their room.
The groom-to-be entertained the arriving guests with cocktails, with everyone commenting on his brilliant pointy shoes. The ceremony was inside the stable, in front of much loved friends and family, with their nephew playing The Cure’s Lovesong so beautifully to the couple at the end of the service. Thankfully the clouds parted briefly for photos and drinks on the lawn, followed by a delicious evening meal and then dancing into the night with the coolest reggae DJ I’ve ever seen. Lots of fun was had by all.
I wish you both all the best in the future, thank you for having such faith in me to capture your day, it was such a joy.
