For the past couple of months emotions have been up and down, partly due to these beauties, Yes, we wanted to give our cat the chance to have a litter, and we were so excited when they were born in our eldest’s bottom drawer, being able to watch the last one arrive. Whilst it was such a joy to watch them grow and to play with, and have run around the house like nutters!. But it did mean holidays away were more stressful, because of worrying about them and even cancelled, because no one was able to look after them except us.
I have to say their mama has been amazing, if a little too protective (!) around others…. raising beautiful, clean, fun, independent kittens.
Four of the five beauties left last weekend. Yes, I cried when they left, as did my youngest, we were totally heartbroken. Two pairs have gone to two families we know really well, so we will get to see them grow up, and this warms my heart. And luckily for us, little “Summer” remains with her mama, and so far the two of them are doing really well. Fingers crossed this continues.
Do you mind if I indulge with a selection of pics?… I have it under good authority that some people would like to see these… if not, please step away, and normal blogging will resume next week, with a wedding and family session to come.
Have a happy weekend.
This is our new baby, Summer…..
Today on London Vs Paris we are “looking down”. Lately my view is of the 5 little kittens we are currently nurturing at home. One will stay with us, and the other four will be off to their new homes in a couple of weeks. Having these little beauties grow up with us has been such an experience… the boys have loved it.
Can you bear some more kittens pics??
For two weeks we’ve been watching the 5 gorgeous kittens grow and in the last few days they have started to open their eyes.
Tigger has become an amazing mama and is nurturing all the kittens beautifully. They will soon grow out of their “nest” in the boy’s bottom drawer, so we’ll have to move them downstairs as they slowly begin to move around.
Having these little beauties with us has so far been a delight, can’t wait to see how they develop over the next month or so.
