Many years ago I declared I Love Instagram… My love still holds true today.

Here’s why -

1. It’s a visual journal of my life… the things I do and see…. the places we go and adventures we have. When I swipe through my feed it’s like watching the past four years flash in front of me – the best kind of “Time Capsule”.

2. In terms of my work, it’s my most current portfolio – where I can share my favourite photos & films both professionally and personally. By sharing what I love to shoot, I can set the intention to shoot more of it.

3. There’s constant inspiration – you can find people who share similar work or be inspired by something different. For example I follow other Londoners and people sharing their family adventures – but I also enjoy the creativity of designers, makers and people travelling the world… oh and florists!

4. If you’re stuck in a rut or want to step out of your comfort zone – you can join in photo challenges or hashtag projects. See what your favourite accounts are joining in with, or some might even be running their own hashtags. Creating alongside a prompt can push you to shoot something different or see things in a new way.

5. The Instagram community is one of the most supportive and encouraging group of creatives you’ll find. Your people are on there, you just need to seek them out.

Yes, I’m pretty passionate about Instagram – so much so I’m collaborating with the brilliant Kim Klassen on a brand new online course - Instaguide – We’re going to share how we use Instagram for our creative growth and to boost our businesses… plus loads of tips, tricks and inspiration to get started and get more from our favourite app.

All the details are HERE – We’re starting next week and we’re super excited!

How about a giveaway?! – If you’d like to win a place on our course, let me know why you love Instagram – just leave a comment here or over on my post on Instagram – for two chances to win! I’ll pick the random winner on Sunday, just in time for the course to begin…

When the sun comes out, I like to make our favourite drink.

It’s so refreshing!

For a little bit of fun and because the ingredients are so pretty…. here’s a little demo.

Squeeze a couple of fresh limes & chop another one.

Chop a handful of mint.

Crush some ice in a clean tea towel and add everything to the jug.

Fill the jug with 1/2 ginger beer & 1/2 Sprite or lemonade.

Stir well & serve.

Delicious on its own or with a generous shot of vodka (apparently!)

Over the weekend Ky made his special fruit salad… I loved the colours so much we decided to make a Mini Monday Movie together…

If you’re interested in learning how I make these Mini Movies to share on Instagram…

Then check out my new course Mini Time Capsules which is available from today! I share shooting tips and show you all the basics to edit a tiny film in iMovie. It’s simple and fun!

Exciting day today!

First, the new e-course I mentioned earlier this week is open for registration TODAY…

Behind the Scenes is a creative guide to blogging your passion with myself & the wonderful Kim, all the details can be found here. The course is going to take place in a new space called Reflection Of You, which we’re planning to build into a space full of creativity and connection… truly wonderful.

Please pop on over and take a look, we’re super excited.

Secondly, I’m over at Shutter sisters today launching our month of colour… I do hope you’ll join in? A month of searching for colour… YES PLEASE!

I’m in… what about you?

{photos from my colourful day in San Francisco with Leslie)

And then of course this weekend is full of celebrations of the Jubliee kind… we’re escaping all the pomp and ceremony to sit in a field in this beauty and hang out with friends, old & new. I’m sure there will be bunting, ’cause bunting always makes things happy.

Happy weekend to you all x.

I’m over at the wonderful Kim’s Beyond Layers course this week, inspiring everyone to look for colour… a little colour week is just what I need too.

I’m playing along with my iphone on instagram and I’ll share what I shoot here each day.

If you’d like to play along… tomorrow is yellow {quite possibly my favourite colour}

I’ve been craving colour recently, I guess it’s the long grey winter… I’ve been feeling the need to seek some out and photograph it…

Fortunately I played with some wonderful colour today, as I decorated a good friend’s house, ready for her party tomorrow… splashes of paper colour in every corner of her home…

This week whizzed by super quick…wow…

It’s interesting that the colour palette of this weeks instagram shots are so similar, really neutral… gosh I’m craving some colour! Need to remedy that quickly.

Finished the second week of the first round of Creating Time Capsules… such a lovely group of ladies, creating and making real magic, it’s really wonderful… round two has opened for registration if you’d like to join in.

Today I’m over at Shuttersisters, talking about gathering and grounded shots… and getting very excited about gathering with everyone towards the end of the year. Palm Springs! somebody pinch me!
