Another Five Fact Friday… playing along with all our friends in Behind The Scenes… just to let you know, there are still places for the September round of this course. We’d love to have you join us.

1. Billy Goats Gruff is one of my most memorable book from my childhood.

2. I used to hate life drawing at art college, but lately I’ve been realising what impact it’s probably had on me, in terms of understanding light, shape and form.

3. I’ve experienced one earthquake, in our 21st floor apartment in Manila, it was a weird feeling wobbling all over the place, as pictures fell to the floor.

4. I’m crossing off the weeks till California and attending Oasis at the end of October! Kim & I are heading there a little early, and we’re so excited!

5. I love camping… sleeping in a tent, cooking on the fire, being outdoors… yep everything.

And with that… we’re off camping this weekend to play in a field and I can’t wait!

To help deal with the ridiculous rain while camping… I searched out pops of colour.

There was a lot of rain during our camp this weekend. A lot of rain.

Then we had a gift… a window of blue skies during the glorious golden hour and I soaked it up.

And then of course this weekend is full of celebrations of the Jubliee kind… we’re escaping all the pomp and ceremony to sit in a field in this beauty and hang out with friends, old & new. I’m sure there will be bunting, ’cause bunting always makes things happy.

Here she is… our new tent.

Number #1 off my list, we own her! thanks to my parents for this wonderful birthday present. We slept in her last weekend. It’s was freezing at night, sometimes camping in the UK in April isn’t wise, not at all like this place last year.

Thankfully days were glorious… outside all day, chopping wood, making fires, whittling, playing games, hanging out, eating good hearty food off the fire. So needed, to clear my head, especially after last week.

Many more trips planned in this beauty.

Missed Friday’s grateful post because we were away camping.

So good to be back on camp again, outside all weekend….. singing, fire-making, good food, games, whittling, swimming, talking & laughing, and general merriment.

I love the outdoors. Camping gets you right in the elements, thankfully this trip was filled with blue skies and fabulous light.

My grateful:Friday is dedicated to nature in all it’s glory.

Every year we camp with FSC. A group of families gather together, old and new friends. We build a community for 3 days, sharing in the magic and then watching our children grow.

I took lots of photos, but due to privacy guidelines, I can’t show those of other people, so I have to be selective.

I’m starting with a collection charting some moments in a day. From the moment you open your tent and soak up the fresh air. To singing round the campfire with cocoa and guitars playing.
