ABOUT ME

Hi, I am Xanthe (pronounced Zan-thee) I live in London, UK… with the love of my life, our two amazing boys and two adorable cats.

From shooting 35mm in school, learning to process and develop, falling in love with Polaroid, Super 8 and stop-frame animation at art college and a glorious affair with lomo in the 90‘s – taking photos and making films has always been part of my life…

Everywhere I look there is something to capture. It helps me make sense of the world. I curate my life – gathering memories for my family and now those of others. Cataloging everyday life. It’s an addiction. It’s my passion. There is nothing more magic than freezing a moment or a connection… Lovers embracing, new mamas gazing at new life, siblings sharing laughter, exchanging vows, holding hands. Connection – we all need it and I now I search for it.

That’s why I adore capturing the beauty found in everyday moments.

Also, a lover of bright colours and sunshine – along with sand between my toes, things served generously during my 5 years living in Asia.

I love sitting around the campfire, wearing chucks, growing beautiful things in the garden and singing along to music with my boys…

I’d love to capture your MOMENTS.

    Hi Xanthe,
I’ve been browsing through your work instead of finishing behind the scene’s. I got to lesson 12 and your beautiful photo with your sons and then I got lost on your stream..
I wonder if you would mind sharing what your favorite lens is when shooting those portraits? and if you pretty much stick with that one lens or move around to other…
    Your portrait work is beautiful.

Wow! I’ve just discovered your work through seeing one of your weddings on Rock My Wedding. Your work is so beautiful, so much character and gorgeous light. Love your website too.

Love you site, found you through the Kim Klassen blog. I assume you are in London? I am as well! During a rest between contracts I am looking to do a bit more shooting – I do a lot of the community garden I volunteer on. Great place for colour, but no mustard yellow as of yet!

    Hi Xanthe,
What wonderful pictures! I am just looking for a Wedding Photographer in Berkeley, California and your Website showed up. I was so amazed seeing the film about LOVE and am so sad that you do not live/work in Berkeley, CA to shoot our small Wedding ;-)

I will put you in my favourites and come back from time to time. It is such a different style of Photographer´s Website. I love it.

    All the best!
