38
I don’t normally do new year resolutions, it’s such a difficult time of year to make change and I’ve only recently started doing the one word project.
So yesterday I turned 38 and it’s kinda crazy that I decided to do the birthday list thingy. I’ve always admired those who set their intentions, write a list and spend the year trying to make them happen.
This list contains achievable things (and some things already in the works) and items which may take longer than this year to make happen. That’s ok. It’s pretty brave for me to even write some of these down, so I don’t mind if some take longer.
My 38 things -
- Sleep in and own a Bell tent
- Help Luke do what he loves
- Be debt free (not the mortgage coz that would be ridiculous)
- Finally own a sofa we have chosen ourselves
- Our boys to flourish in a school we choose
- To carry on believing
- To stay at an ace hotel
- Grow sweet peas
- To be in a real published book that you hold in your hands
- To meet and have a cup of tea with Brene Brown
- Collaborate, Gather, and Collaborate some more
- Keep growing my business organically
- To have painted nails everyday
- De-clutter (not sure this is even possible)
- Laugh till I cry
- To be in love with all my boys more and more everyday
- To live in full technicolor (I love it) – wear it, photograph it… surround myself in colour.
- To travel to new places and visit NYC again
- To visit our old home in Thailand
- Make the ideas in my head come true
- Wear more sparkles
- Teach my ecourse live in person (scary but I think it feels right)
- Upgrade my camera… I can dream of the 5Dmark3 or even the Nikon D800, right?
- Have more days out in London
- Camp lots (maybe even have our own wood one day)
- Own another Lyric bag (or two!)
- Bask in the joy of evening picnics
- Buy a new winter coat preferably a bright colour and certainly not a “mum” coat
- Get back into making my visual diaries
- Wear more Bando and other pretty accessories
- Have regular massages (especially by Kim)
- Not cry everyday when our boys go away this summer
- Make breakfast in bed, at the weekends, a tradition
- Shoot film or at least ttv
- Move house
- Follow my heart & Trust the process
- Own a bicycle to ride with my family
- Stay healthy, be happy and appreciate the little things
{There really is power in writing things down… I NEVER believed this before, but now I know it to be true}
What’s on your list??
